Legends of the Night Sky
March 19, 2008 • 3-5 PM

Children aged 5 to 10 with a grown-up can see the story of Orion, hear a story about sportsmanship, and design a craft all under the stars of the new Travelers Science Dome.  Sponsored by Travelers.  $5.00/member child, FREE/member adult; $12.00/nonmember child, $8.00/nonmember adult. On March 20, 2008 wear your favorite sweater to the Museum and get one dollar off each Travelers Science Dome ticket to special showings of The Sky Above Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.  In honor of what would have been his eightieth birthday, we are offering the program at 11:00AM, 12:00 PM, and 1:00PM that day only.  Visit the Website for more information.

Tales & Tails

Join us for our spring session of Tales & Tails, featuring our toddler morning series for children ages 18 months to 3 years. Classes are held on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 9:30-10:15 and run for 8 consecutive weeks, beginning April 1. The program includes arts and crafts, live animal presentations, music and movement, and related stories.

Earth Day 2008

Join us in celebrating Earth Day.  The museum will be hosting an Earth Day evening Saturday, April 19, 2008
6 to 9 pm.  Tour the museum, make nature crafts, enjoy special animal demonstrations, face painting, Department of Environmental Protection Booth and a roaring bonfire.

Nature Center Announces More Story Hours
Nature Center Story hours continue at 1 PM on March 10th with a one hour program for children ages 2-5.  Pre-registration is requested as space is limited.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Signs Of Spring Walk
On Sunday March 30th, Roaring Brook Nature Center will offer a walk focusing on the signs of spring.  The walk begins at 2 PM and lasts for 90 minutes. Members price is $3 for adults and $2 for children; non-members is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children.
