Tuesday - Saturday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Sunday 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
The Museum remains closed on Monday's except when our area schools observe a closing for a Monday holiday.
As a result the museum will be open on Monday February 20th.
The remainder of the museum and all scheduled programs will be available as scheduled for your enjoyment. We thank you in advance for your patience.
Hands on Science fun, learning, and discovery happens every day here at The Children’s Museum. Don't miss Calvin and Hobbes, our new baby fennec foxes and daily animal demonstrations lead by our talented UTC Wildlife Sanctuary staff and daily shows in our digital planetarium lead by our Staff Astronomers. ASTC Reciprocal Members: Free-Touring ONLY
A $5.00 show fee, for each reciprocal member, is charged for tickets to shows in the Travelers Science Dome at the Gengras Planetarium.
- Free admission is granted to the two adults named on the card and up to two children under the age of 12 residing in the household.
- Please Present an ID and Valid membership card
- The Children’s Museum does adhere to the Association of Science and Technology Center’s policy that restricts members of ASTC Museums located within 90 miles, from free admission.
- Please note The Children’s Museum, West Hartford, no longer participates in the reciprocal program through the Association of Children’s Museums. Members of museums participating in the ACM program may inquire at our admissions desk for details on ticket fees and options for membership at The Children’s Museum, West Hartford.

The Children’s Museum is CLOSED on Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and Easter Day.
Wheelchair access is limited to outside entrances. There are no elevators or ramps in the Children's Museum.
