From the Blue Planet to the Red Planet is offering new, day-long workshops for elementary and middle school educators of grades 4 – 8. These workshops will engage educators in content learning, problem solving, and hands-on experimentation in planetary science. They will provide educators with an overview of high-tech, NASA-related STEM career pathways, and prepare teachers to engage their students in the NASA-themed experiences and activities offered by The New Children’s Museum and CCAT.
Workshops are FREE. Curriculum guide, substitute reimbursement and lunch are also provided. Teachers from priority districts receive free Mars-themed programs at The Children’s Museum or a classroom outreach at their school.
All workshops will be held from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm at CCAT, located at 222 Pitkin St., East Hartford.
