Little Foot came to live at the museum in May of 2001 when he was three years old. Little Foot was being kept as a pet in Washington State. Unfortunately he became sick and his owners were not responsible enough to pay to bring him to a vet so they abandoned him. A veterinarian in Washington was nice enough to make LF better and care for him for a while. When he found out that the museum had a space available he asked the museum to adopt him. He took an airplane ride to Boston where he was picked up by Wildlife Sanctuary staff. He was skinny and nervous but soon made himself at home. Little Foot loves the snow! He also loves shoes and will rub his face and body against his keeper’s shoes for as long as they will let him.
