A Magical Museum (grades 1-3)

All great wizards know you need more than just a spell and a wand to conjure up the strangest of substances. Come join us as we delve into the chemistry behind some amazingly mystical material, explore the truth about many mythical beasts, and discover what ancient soothsayers saw in the sky.

Puzzle Quest (grades 1-5)

Before he left, Marvin decided to play a trick on us, and now we can’t find the key to the museum anywhere! But he has left behind clues for us to discover and decipher. Use teamwork, problem solving skills, and some science sleuthing to unlock the clues and find the key.

Animal Adventure (grades 1-6)

Come face to face with live animals from our United Technologies Wildlife Sanctuary.  Learn what they eat and how they live in the wild. Ferrets, owls, lizards, snakes, and chinchillas are only a few of the animals that make their homes here.

Who Dunnit? (grades 2-6)

Someone has taken off with a prized animal from the Wildlife Sanctuary.  We need your help in tracking down the culprit by keeping good notes in your logbook. Learn to identify fingerprints and do chromatography to help solve this crime.

Power Play (grades 3-6)

TV, light bulbs, radios, computers, and toasters all have one very important thing in common. Watt could it be?  Electrify your curiosity as you experiment with circuits, view a shocking demonstration with a Van de Graaff generator, and see what it takes to bring power into your home.

Special Family Camp-in – March 8

Don’t miss this special treat for our parents and children ages 4-8. Gaze through our telescopes (weather permitting), experience a fun hands-on workshop, see a special Science Dome show, witness captivating demonstrations, explore the museum, and sleep in the exhibit halls. An evening snack and light breakfast are included.

Family Camp-in Mother: “Seeing Saturn was an awesome bonus. This was amazing. Would recommend!"
