DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING
The Children’s Museum, soon to embark on a capital campaign, seeks an experienced professional Director of Development & Marketing to be a key member of its strategic leadership team. The Director, reporting to and working closely with the President & CEO, manages departmental operations, is the chief raiser of corporate and foundation gifts, and will be responsible for strategy and implementation of a fast-paced capital campaign, including direct solicitation of major gifts. The Director also organizes the meetings and work of the Board Development Committee. This position provides both strategic and operational direction for all institutional fundraising with the goal of continuously cultivating and increasing contributed revenue to advance the education mission, while maintaining positive donor relations. Five plus years of fundraising experience, including front line responsibility for soliciting major and capital campaign gifts essential. CFRE preferred. The Children’s Museum, an exciting science and nature education institution in West Hartford, seeks a high-energy, versatile and creative Manager for communications, PR, and media, to help it rebrand itself in the marketplace. Must understand strategic marketing and public relations. Strong writing skills and media relations important to maximize institutional exposure.
