The Children’s Museum in West Hartford CT celebrates National Astronomy Day on Saturday, May 12, 2016 with special activities and programs that bring astronomy to the youngest people.

On Astronomy Day, visitors will explore the universe on a starry safari! Activities include hunting moon phases, trailing shadows, connecting animals in the Wildlife Sanctuary with their constellation counterparts, storytime reading safari, “camping out under the stars” in the planetarium, and (weather permitting) outdoor activities including stalking the Sun safely (solar viewing) and making yourself into a constellation. The starry safari activities are designed for young children and families.
