VACATION SCIENCE CAMP WINTER 2013
December Break
December 23- HOLIDAY SCIENCE– Get in the science spirit this holiday season. Grow crystal snowflakes, create chromatography ornaments, and experiment with candy cane slime.
Dec 27- WINTER ANIMALS– Meet the furry and feathered friends in our wildlife sanctuary who thrive in cold temperatures and learn how they survive and stay warm.
Dec 30- SUPERCOLD SCIENCE– Examine the science behind cold weather. Make your own snow and conduct freezing cold chemistry experiments.
Dec 31- THAT’S A WRAP: ENGINEERING CHALLENGE– Use leftover holiday materials like wrapping paper, boxes, and cardboard tubes to design and build impressive structures.
REGISTRATION
SCIENCE CAMP 2013 REQUIREMENTS
• Children in grades 1 – 5
• Completed Fall Registration Form OR Register Online
• Completed health form including immunization record, signed by a physician
• Completed parent and authorized prescriber permission form for any child requiring medications or inhaler, including Epi-Pen, needed during camp hours.
Cost
$60/day for The Children’s Museum members
$70/day for Non-members
All program fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
