The New Children’s Museum is delighted to be able to assist in an important humanitarian effort to supply third-world fisherman a safe and economical craft to better feed their community. The Cat-Fish prototype, designed by David Murphy, will be given to a fishing village in Haiti.
The Cat-Fish II will be on exhibit on Museum grounds through May 2015. An indoor exhibit provides information about the project as well as Oil Drum Art (http://www.oildrumart.org/). The Cat-Fish II demonstrates the Museum’s STEAM initiative of integrating science, engineering and art.
