The Children’s Museum’s Early Childhood Learning Lab (ECLL) is a room specifically created for very young children—three to six-year-olds—and their parents or care givers. It features hands-on, play-based, and sensory learning stations designed to stimulate children’s imaginations and their natural passion for discovering, exploring and questioning. This immersive lab is Phase I of a three-part initiative. Twelve to fifteen Lendable Learning Kits will be added during Phase II. Thirty ECLL Traveling Programs will be presented to low income communities throughout Connecticut during Phase III.
The Children’s Museum is grateful to the generous sponsors of our early learning initiative: The Rotary Club of West Hartford, the Barnes Group Foundation, the Vernon D. & Florence E. Roosa Family Foundation, and the William and Alice Mortensen Foundation.
