Attendance Changes
We understand that group sizes fluctuate due to unforeseen circumstances. It’s important to us that we offer a fair response to such situations, so we’ve developed the following guidelines.
- Refunds only apply to groups that have reconfirmed their attendance numbers at least 48 hours prior to their visit. For overpayments of $50.00 or more, our accounting department will issue a refund check within three weeks.
- If you have not confirmed your attendance numbers, and you have fewer participants than you originally registered, you are responsible for 90% of the number of people originally booked.
- If you want to bring more participants than originally registered, contact the Registration Department. Additions will be accommodated subject to availability.
Leader/Chaperone Responsibilities
- Please keep in mind that you will be sharing The Museum with other guests. We ask each group to show respect for other visitors, The Children’s Museum staff, exhibits, and animals.
- One adult chaperone is required for every 10 children.
- For ease in touring, we suggest breaking into small groups.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- Organizations will be billed for intentional damage known to have been caused by an individual in a specific group.
- Undisciplined groups will be asked to leave and may forfeit their right to return.
- Backpacks may not be brought into The Children’s Museum.
- Please remember chaperones are responsible for the appropriate behavior of their group and are required to remain with their group at all times.
Safety Suggestions
- One adult chaperone for every 10 children is required.
- Each person should arrive wearing a nametag that includes the group’s name.
- First aid kits, not containing prescription medications, may be stored at the Admissions Desk while you tour. A nurse is not on duty at The Museum.
