On November 16 we held our annual fundraising celebration and dinner, Visions, for the Future of Our Children, Our Community, and Our Museum at the Hartford Golf Club. During event two extraordinary individuals were honored. Dr. William A. Petit, Jr. received the The Museum’s Youth Champion Award  which honors an exemplary individual and accomplished leader, advocate and champion for children in our communities. The Rising Star Award which honors an exceptional youth inspired by significant involvement with The Children’s Museum and/or Roaring Brook Nature Center was awarded to Isaac Rosenthal.  In addition, proposed plans were unveiled for the future of the Museum at the UConn campus property. Guests also enjoyed animal and science demonstrations demonstrations by Museum staff.
