Vacation Science Camp Volunteer
Interested in early childhood education? Want to share your love of science with a younger generation?
Volunteer counselors assist our museum educators during camp days. Children in grades 1-6 attend a full day camp where they perform experiments, tour the museum, meet some of our animals and explore the science theme of the day. Interested applicants must be at least 16 years old. For more information email Camp Manager Sara Horwitz.
Wildlife Sanctuary Volunteer
Sanctuary volunteers assist staff with many tasks during the week and on weekends in the animal center. Duties include general cleaning of Sanctuary area, cleaning of cages, animal demonstrations, answering questions for public and animal enrichment. If you enjoy animals and don’t mind working hard and getting dirty – this is the volunteer position for you. You must be at least 15 years old to volunteer in the Wildlife Sanctuary. Volunteer Opportunities for Adults, Students and Seniors
- You must be at least 14 years old to volunteer with Guest Relations.
- You must be at least 15 years old to volunteer with the Wildlife Sanctuary.
- You must be at least 16 years old to volunteer with Vacation Science Camp.

General Information
All Children’s Museum Volunteers are carefully screened to insure the safety of our visitors. Volunteers are required to fill out an application, including two references, and must receive our volunteer handbook before joining the team. Volunteers under the age of 16 require parental permission.
